Hulu has just released the trailer for Into the Void: Life, Death & Heavy Metal, an eight-part heavy metal docuseries that is set to premiere on September 22. The show explores the genre’s history, its iconic musicians, and infamous moments, including the tragic early death of Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads, Judas Priest’s suicide-pact trial, the onstage murder of Pantera’s Dimebag Darrell, and the groundbreaking career of Death’s Chuck Shuldiner. The series features interviews with Sharon Osbourne, Pantera’s Phil Anselmo, Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe, and guitarist Zakk Wylde, with episodes that delve into the personal struggles and cultural impact of metal’s most compelling artists. Executive produced by Evan Husney and Jason Eisener, the co-creators of the hit pro-wrestling docuseries, Dark Side of the Ring, Into the Void promises to take an inside look at heavy metal’s intense stories of rebellion, addiction, and redemption.
