Cumulus Media announces that Big Machine Label Group Founder and CEO Scott Borchetta will serve as a mentor during the Final Challenge of the NASH Next Competition, which will discover and release new music from the most promising Country musicians. The NASH Next Challenge grand prizewinner will be signed to the new NASH Next record label, and all of the top 10 finalists will participate in a national NASH Next concert tour in 2016. The winner will be decided based on a combination of scores from the music industry judges, an original “Spin Index” of social media activity and online fan voting.
Today marks the beginning of the Final Challenge, where the 10 finalists who have been selected to advance begin competing in the NASH Next Music Video Challenge. During this challenge, each band will produce an original music video that incorporates computer animation or motion design under Borchetta’s mentorship. The winner will be announced on December 7, 2015.
The three NASH Next judges are legendary music producer James Stroud, award-winning Country music artist and radio personality Kix Brooks and Cumulus Senior Vice President of Content and Programming Mike McVay.
